Martin Luther King Jr. was a man to be reckoned with. He stood fiercely for what he believed in. He kept fighting through lynchings and prejudice. He stood for liberty, justice and equality. Tomorrow would dissolve him to tears knowing that all that he fought for had come true. Barack Obama wasn't elected because he's black; he was elected because he is the best man for the job. Martin Luther King Jr.'s dream has come true at last. When Rosa Parks was arrested for sitting on a bus, he fought. When Ruby Bridges prayed to God to forgive the people who hated her guts, he fought. When all those hundreds of students sat at a diner all day waiting to be served, he fought . When a soldier who lost his leg for his country in World War II, walked into a diner and got kicked out because he was black , Martin Luther King Jr. fought. He fought on Bloody Sunday, and countless other days for those who had no hope. He never stopped fighting for what he thought was right , and so I honor him, along side the rest of the country, for all the brave, selfless acts for justice that he led and truly defined "Land of the free and Home of the brave."
