Barack Obama
Barack Obama is an inspiration to us all. He is driven by hope and change. Four years ago he was sitting in a basement office with no windows and bare walls. Now he is sitting in the Oval office. One man has come so far, just like our country. Sixty years ago, people would have spat at you if you were to tell them a man who's father was black and his mother white was President of the United States of America. This man with a wife and two daughters is the first African-American President. Obama has this day practically had this day dedicated to him. Millions of people watched him get sworn in, people not only in America, but also in Kenya and Indonesia. They cheered after he was sworn in, and were deeply touched during his speech. Obama promised us change in his speech, he also talked about keeping hopes alive during the economic crisis, and the warming planet. He said"It is the firefighters courage to climb a stair case filled with smoke, but also a parents willingness to nurture a child, that finally decides our fate." I was deeply touched by that statement for it told of bravery and love. He, Barack Obama, has made history, and has most likly changed the coure of our country for good.
